Dr. Jed Kaminetsky, one of New York City's leading urologists, is one of the early pioneers to research and develop a treatment for female sexual dysfunction. Throughout his years of practice as both a urologist and professor, Dr. Kaminetsky has come to understand the nuances of sexual issues for men and women.

According to a study reported in the Journal of American Medical Association, 43% of American women are sexually dissatisfied or are sexually dysfunctional. This study, along with Dr. Kaminetsky's practical experience, led him to begin his own research into developing treatments to help aid sexually dysfunctional or dissatisfied women.

His first round of research led to the creation of a topical application of Prostaglandin, which he gave to female patients having trouble getting sexually aroused and having orgasms. The patients ' responses were extremely positive, increasing sexual arousal and appearing to increase blood flow in the clitoris.

Concurrent with his interest in developing sexual aid-treatments for women, Viagra made its phenomenal debut onto the marketplace. Women, along with the media, created a tremendous surge of interest in Viagra and its possible use for females. As of this date, the FDA has not approved Viagra for women, but many women have experimented with it, with mixed results. In the meanwhile, Dr. Kaminetsky was encouraged to develop a topical application for women that would achieve the same results.

At a 1999 forum on New Perspectives in Female Sexual Dysfunction hosted by Boston University's School of Medicine, Dr. Kaminetsky presented the preliminary results of his study that evaluated the efficacy and safety of his topical formulation containing sildenafil. He found that 65% of women tested reported increased arousal and an enhanced ability to achieve orgasm compared to those who used placebos. The main drawback was that it needed a doctor's prescription, which eliminated the use of this formula for the general female population. Continued research, however, did result in the creation of the successful formula that is now the Dream Cream. This formula utilizes L-Arginine, an essential amino acid that increases female sensations and arousal.

Dr. Kaminetsky's medical practice and his experimental cream, christened "Dream Cream" by a reporter on ABC NEWS, has received world-wide attention in publications including: Elle, Newsweek, Vogue, W, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, Self, Glamour, Brides, Vibe, Men's Journal, The New York Post, and a cover story in New York Magazine about female sexual dysfunction and enhancement entitled "The Science of O". The doctor has also made appearances on CNN, ABC, CBS, and international news programs in Brazil, Germany, Italy and England discussing female sexuality.

Dr. Kaminetsky's practice is at the forefront of scientific research concerning modern women's sexuality. His Dream Cream was one of the first creams ever developed to enhance female sexual pleasure. While using Dream Cream does not guarantee an orgasm for every woman each time she has sex, it has enabled thousands of women to experience increased sexual pleasure, and has improved the sex lives of women around the world.
